It’s crucial to remember that not all pilings are the same size, even if they were purchased and installed simultaneously. To ensure optimal fitment for each piling cap, we recommend the following measurement method:

1. Wrap a piece of string around the pole.
2. Measure the length of the string once it’s laid flat.
3. Refer to our Circumference Conversion Chart (available in the images) to determine the correct diameter, or use the formula:
4. Diameter = Length of string ÷ π (approximately 3.14159).
5. Alternatively, you can use an online circumference calculator by inputting the string's length to get the diameter.

Example: If the length of your string measures 25 inches, dividing by π results in a diameter of approximately 7.96 inches, suggesting you need an 8-inch piling cap.

Failure to measure accurately could lead to additional shipping costs deducted from your return, so please double-check your measurements!
